DOTA2 Custom cursor icon

So I got to test dota2 today on my friend's account and the thing that bothered me the most was the goddamn attack cursor that comes up when you press 'A'. Maybe you'll get used to it, but to me it just looks terrible and unintuitive. So I started looking around if it could be changed and discovered that you can in fact change it and even quite easily. I got to work and took the cursor from Warcraft3 dota since that's the one I'm most used to and it was already available without too much work. It's possible to change all the cursors, but the others were fine for me except the attack cursor so I left them alone. Here's a small guide on how to do that. If you have any problems, suggestions or related ideas, feel free to post them.

Really valve? You add a small red arrow to the normal cursor and it becomes an attack-cursor? I hope that's not the final design.


NOW, with this awesome modification, just like in WC3 dota:

It changes color depending on if your target cursor is on top of enemy unit or a friendly unit.


Here's how you do it in 4 easy steps:

1. Download cursor.zip (or from this mirror http://www.upload.ee/files/1813111/cursor.zip.html )
2. Extract the files from the zip to steam\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\dota\resource\cursor\
   
3. When asked if you want to overwrite existing files, answer yes.
4. Start the game and enjoy your new cursor!

Yeah I guess you could get used to the original and some people don't even use A-click that much especially if they have right-click-denying. I on the other hand use A-clicking a lot when playing. I use it for denying obviously, but also for regular attack-moving and sometimes just targeting enemy creeps with A-click as well, because if I misclick, my hero won't move there like it does when right clicking. To me the attack cursor just looked too similar to the normal cursor.

Yea, i feel more comfortable using a for attack and deny, it just feels more efficient
