    West qual. Better then TI2

Is it just me or does it seem like the western qual.. Is going to be more interesting then TI2. I was really looking forward to TI2. I even put away 800$ for airfare and hotel rooms but now after seeing the lineup card it seems I'm more excited for the qualifier then the actual tournament. A lot of the European teams that have been active now fight for a slot to just get in. I fully understand valves marketing strategy but these are not the best 16 teams by far . Oh well just want oppinions. I shared mine.

It's sadly not just you. It's you alongside hundreds of other seemingly ignorant players unable to pass judgment on skill nor what makes a team eligible for an invitation.

Not three months ago, the western qualifier would have been deemed ridiculously boring because of the mediocrity of some of the teams involved. Same applies to 1 year ago. What makes you think it's supposedly any better now let alone 3 months from now?

The western qualifier will be interesting, but surely NOT better than TI2. With Quantic in a current slump they maybe will not pull up their A game. Keita looks strong atm but we will all agree, that it should be beetween Quantic,Mtw or Mouz, Ofc Next ot Infused will have thei chances as well.

Well from the teams invited, there is only one that doesn't deserve an invite according to me and that is Darer - They don't really have any achievements, they just changed players a week ago and I don't think they have the stars that some of the other teams have. Yeah they have Artstyle, but he also hasn't done shit since last international - going from a crappy team to another crappy team and having no success in the process.

I am also not sure about MUFC, as I haven't really watched them that much .... From Asia I mostly follow DK, EHOME and Zenith. But since I have no knowledge of MUFC, I can't really form a knowledgeable opinion on them.

As for the other teams invited - coL is the only one I consider to be at the level of the teams not invited i.e. at mouz and mTw level, every one else is stronger than the teams that are not invited.

Dreamhack will show how right I am, but I expect a strong showing by most of the invited teams and top finishes from Na'VI, EG, m5 and AL.

However, I am very excited for the qualifier also. It will be some very interesting games. As weird as it might be, I expect a very good showing from VP .... now that they have a lot to play for .... it might be wishful thinking though. With that in mind, I don't think any of the teams going through the qualifiers (both East and West) will have any chance to win the main tournament.

It's just you. IT2 is stacked with legendary players and teams from Dota with years of history. Last IT some Asian teams got 6 days to practice while teams like Na'Vi got several weeks. Let's see who's the best when there's tons of offhand picks, counter picks, and people aren't missing their signature heroes.

The IT2 is going to be so off the wall cause there's a nearly complete hero pool. Your every day EU strategy is going to get picked apart by superior teams with great captains.

EDIT: I'm probably going to start crying with laughter when EU team like CLG lets any SEA team pick up a hero like Naga Siren cause they don't understand without some pain and they get roflstomped.

Typical Maelk, making pointless arguments with a superiority complex the size of EG's bad manners.

That he has. Don't know why he so mad tho. It's an opinion. And it doesn't matter what pros feel like is the best talent it's the average fan that they need to convince who periodically tune in, like myself (an average player). It's those people that buy the tickets and tune into the streams for more ad money. Help the community... Don't flame

And I will start crying with laughter when Na'Vi picks apart the likes of MUFC, LGD and Orange ... will be fun days. The only problem is that nobody knows what will happen.

Also what excuse are you going to make for the Asian teams getting stomped at ESWC last year? Clearly they had time to practice for it.
