just look at their lineup and you will know what the lanes will be 99% of the time. i.e a WR, enigma, invoker, morpling, cm will not have a trilane but a lesh,sd, void, brood, raijin will.

Actually if you guys were in the easy lane it's pretty easy to win with that. Play defensive, they cant kill anything. Bear would get bad harass with gale+curse. If they decide to disturb pull theres always veno ward to scout when they're coming.

Otherwise why the hell would you put your AM at top against a trilane

Anyway - competitive uses trilanes all the time. I don't know what you're talking about. The jungler would be considered one of the trilane people anyway since ganks come as well. You don't put a trilane against another trilane unless you know 100% you're gonna crush em. (because doing that gives your carry a tougher lane to last hit, plus you -need- to tower dive to pull off a gank, plus they can pull creeps and you can't)

Otherwise put someone with an escape mech at the hardlane (and someone who doesn't suck too much being underlevelled - brood, wr, puck maybe, potm maybe), tell the person to hug tower and it's ok to be lv1 at 5min. Best if you can buy wards and plant at key areas (pull camp / gank area) the start but enemies don't always allow that.
