Enigma is pretty funny though if you're team is a little capable. Had a great game yesterday with a random invoker who ALWAYS sunstriked when I blackholed. (got me a kill twice when I would've died otherwise)

Jupp, enigma is extremely rewarding to play. Especially if you have a dual safe lane that you can gank. What I was going for here was this kind of heroes, that can make a massive impact on a game without the need of a good team. Most carries are team dependant in some way; they can't just run off on a lane and push as hard as the enemy team without eventually losing, which is why enigma, brood, tiny etc can be a better pick when going solo. Not only are you then not picking a carry, you are also actively NOT doing it, meaning that there is a lesser risk for the mass carry pub's that does occur.
    Dota 2 did fix it!

Pick Leshrac -> go mid -> win game. Same for brood, Pugna and every other hero that is capable of killing a tower within <1 minute.

it depends on how bad is the pub we're talking about

but in general, a few points to take into consideration when selecting a suitable hero for solo queue that come to to mind:

1/ Escape mechanism: since your team is bad and has little to none communication, you must have a good escape tool (invi, blink etc) in order to survive. Because if the other team realizes that you're the only one that can play well on your team, be prepared for a 5-man gank squad every now and then.

2/ Ability to farm well and fast: in this aspect, hero with AoE is favored (Tiny, QoP or even Morphling). Chances are your team will feed for the most parts of the game. This has both pro and con. Obviously, a team that feeds is never a good thing, thus you must be able to farm as much as possible before the opposing team's carry get out of hand. You must be able to kill any of the opposing hero during mid game, so good early and mid game farm are crucial for this. On the other hand, if your mates are bad, it's likely that the other team will be busy ganking them, hence leaving you time and space to improve your farm. So don't prioritize on saving your mates or towers (at least the outer ones) in these situations. Remember that towers are just gold deposits that you'll eventually claim back later on. Just carry TP and go on hardcore farm mode.

3/ Burst damage: you'll usually go on ganking alone, so you must be able to take down the opponent as fast as you can, so that you can get away before their mates arrive. AoE burst is a plus as there may be potentially a few clashes between two teams, and as bad as your team might be, the other guys should be able to deal a certain level of damage. A good AoE burst (such as QoP's ulti or Tiny's combo) is handy to pocket a few double-kills or triple-kills.

Overall, for game when you're 1v5, it's important to shut down their entire team during mid to pre-late game as once every one is 25, any kind of gold or exp gap becomes minimal. Another important thing not to forget is warding! Don't try to blame on your team's support for not warding. If they're bad, they won't ward, that's a fact. With the extra gold you get while your mates are getting violated, spend a few hundreds to appreciate their heroic sacrifice, as well as to prevent that from happening as often as it could.

With the above considerations, my favorite heroes for solo queuing include, but not limited to:
    - Queen of Pain: for obvious reason
    - Tiny: even though he's not really good with escaping, but rune control and a quick dagger will be good to go. He's good with bursting down a single hero in less than 4 seconds. Even in late game his amazing base damage will become handy when magic burst is not that useful.
    - Morphling: one of the best late carry in the game so there's that. Also his nuke can clear a creep wave relatively fast, and is very useful in escaping as well (his ultimate is also another good tool for ganking/escaping). Make sure you get good mana regen and rune control on morph and you should be quite comfortable farming your way to dominance.

Other notable heroes are: Night stalker (tanky enough to survive early game, can gank and help out other lanes when necessary at night), Bounty Hunter (you will mostly not die if play correctly, unless the other team really want your ass and gank squad you with dust and shits, with decent farm you can start roaming around and pick off intelligent hero or ks during team fight), Spiritbreaker (once you're 6 you can mostly kill any hero you wish when your ultimate is up, if your teammates aren't extremely bad and follow you around for gank, this is a very good hero to initiate and grab kills)

And last but not least, ALWAYS GO MID!

    My personal rape heroes:

    - Huskar (destroys pubs)
    - Pudge (we all know a good Pudge wins pubs)
    - Viper (kinda like Huskar)

What they all have in common is being able to win mid lane and then proceed to gang the other lanes relentlessly. Urn and / or bottle and you are a machine that never runs out of fuel.

Basically any carry jungler or Pudge.
As Pudge, you get solo kills anyway and as a carry jungler you just wait until you're fed (up) and go rape.

Haha, these are the three heroes I basically always see in any pub game. But extremely effective without disable or stuns.

Personally I usually manage to become a big deal when playing brood, furi and brew. And I'd have to give fav of those 3 to brood, pushing with her is easy and so is getting away (manta brood), so if they leave you alone you will rax, and if they don't they have to commit at least 2 ppl to keep you supressed.

    Worst so far? Actually lion.

Lion is great, if you are good, you can gang/kill anyone, no matter what the amount of heroes is.
And for the best heroe, my m8 plays Morph nearly each game and he wins 50 in row with him like np. Just go mid, farm and roam/kill, easy..

Talking about carrying a team to victory with an easy hero?

Hmm, probably CK or Skeleton King. Both get free crit, Skeleton King is almost impossible to kill once he gets Soul Ring, both have stormbolt, CK gets blink, Leoric gets free Vlad's.

CK's probably better overall, especially since he gets a 4x dmg ultimate, but Leoric's a lot easier to play.

Oh, and Lycan. It's really, really hard to fuck up Lycan. Medallion, Vlad's, BKB, add Necrobook and grats you win.
