Yes, I agree - on a normal basis, but since group stages are just preliminary to decide who goes to winners or loser bracket, it is okay. This format is already a test of endurance, and with Bo3 in group stages it would simply be too taxing, and going into loser bracket would basically mean that they would have near no chance of winning. It would also call for a lot of games with fatigued players, offering worse games.

Some team manager was talking about 14 matches in the group stage of TI2 (i think it was the manager of Navi or M5) in an interview maybe 1 month ago. So I guess its gonna be best of ones with 2 games against each other team in group.
